The focus in this New Year is to:
§ have compassion towards the sufferings and hardships of others;
§ love one another sincerely without any hate or resentment in the heart;
§ push aside permanently any pride related feelings or actions to practic humility and live humbly every single day of our lives;
§ always hope and never give up in what we believe in, how hard it may be; and
§ never stop believing and trusting so that our faith will only grow stronger.
COMPASSION
“that there should be no division in the body, but that the members should have the same care for one another. And if one member suffers, all the members suffer with it; if one member is honored, all the members rejoice with it”
(1 Corinthians 12:25-26)
LOVE
“Do not seek revenge or bear a grudge against one of your people, but love your neighbor as yourself. I am the LORD.”
(Leviticus 19:18)
“Give thanks to the LORD, for he is good; his love endures forever.”
(1 Chronicles 16:34)
HUMILITY
“For even the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many”
(Mark 10:45)
“He leads the humble in what is right, and teaches the humble his way.”
(Psalms 25:9)
HOPE
“So we do not lose heart. Though our outer self is wasting away, our inner self is being renewed day by day. For this light momentary affliction is preparing for us an eternal weight of glory beyond all comparison, as we look not to the things that are seen but to the things that are unseen. For the things that are seen are transient, but the things that are unseen are eternal.”
(2 Corinthians 4:16-18)
FAITH
“In all circumstances take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming darts of the evil one.”
(Ephesians 6:16)
“Faith expects from God what is beyond all expectation.” ~ Andrew Murray
“Faith makes all things possible… love makes all things easy.” ~ D.L. Moody
