I sometimes wonder............

I sometimes wonder how it would be if you were still here
The fun times that we would be having with your grandson
Especially now when he’s walking and running
Dancing, jumping, baby-talking ……..
Wow….I sometimes wonder why is it I didn’t get the chance to see your face lit up seeing your grandson do all of these
Although life was perfect by its own for you
And you know that having seen me give birth was already a big bonus to you
I still can’t help to wonder…………
How I wish you were still here with me….with us…
I miss you so much…
I wish I still had you around to call you “papa”, to hug you, to quarrel with you, to have good times together
I will never forget all the good times together, wonderful blessings by God
I know you are at peace now, rejoicing with God up above
I also know you are my children’s guardian angel which gives me a great sense of peace and joy
I wish I could see you again……………
I love you so much - till we meet again.......

Brighton School House

Our Roots
Brighton School House was founded in 1984 by Lesley Britton, a British expat residing in Malaysia. Together with a group of her expatriate friends, they opened the first Montessori pre-school and nursery in Damansara Heights to cater for their children as well as children of residents living within the vicinity of the school. Over time, the Montessori pre-school was replicated and the Damansara Heights centre became the anchor of a group of more than 30 pre-schools in Kuala Lumpur. This renowned group of pre-schools remained leaders in the pre-school arena for many years. In 2009, the school underwent a management change and was rebranded as Brighton School House. The new school model which was adopted continues to maintain the Montessori principles while embracing the latest educational approaches, teaching methodology and best practices in early years education.

Kinderland

http://www.kinderlandmsia.com.my/our-services/toddlers-kinderplay/

Toddlers’ Kinderplay Program (18 months to 2 + years)
The KinderPlay Program (18 months to 2 + years)

The KinderPlay Program is a bilingual program which adopts a thematic approach to introduce children to an integrated holistic learning style. There are twenty themes in a year. A new theme is introduced each fortnight through a variety of activities.

KinderPlay

Play is a powerful and effective medium to promote all-round development of toddlers. Our Kinderplay program enables toddlers to build attention span and to learn through interaction with peers and adults.
This “Learning Through Play” approach encourages self-expression and creativity through meaningful programs like Music, Movement & Games, KinderCize (physical), Art & Craft and a variety of language activities in English and Mandarin.

Music, Movement and Games

Musical growth is considered an important part of early childhood development and is one facet of the cognitive process. Music and Movement sessions aim to engage children in primary musical development via experiencing and participating in movement and singing activities.
Music and Games activities aim to reinforce concepts learnt during the English and Chinese Language sessions. Through simple musical games, toddlers gain a more in-depth understanding of concepts and practice essential skills in a fun and stress-free way.

KinderCize

Kindercize is designed to enhance the development of large motor skills. Toddlers’ feel ‘good’ about themselves as they increase in strength, ability to control, and manipulate their bodies. They develop a greater sense of well-being, self-confidence and self-esteem.

Language Activities

The language activity component for both English and Chinese, is a fun and effective way of enhancing toddlers’ vocabulary acquisition through songs, stories, rhymes and games.
It is also aimed at developing toddlers’ listening as well as visual discrimination skills. As language is also a social activity, toddlers learn to interact with peers and adults and develop social and communication skills.

Art and Craft

Arts is a natural form of creative expression for toddlers. Their thoughts and feelings are encouraged and respected through free-form art as well as child-appropriate craft activities. Art and Craft activities are designed to stimulate toddlers with varied materials and objectives for their sensorial development and experimentation. These activities encourage the development of fine motor coordination, visual discrimination and hand-eye coordination. They also enhance the qualities of concentration, attentiveness and perseverance.
Objectives of Kinderplay Program:
  • To develop self-confidence.
  • To foster social and emotional development.
  • To develop gross and fine motor skills.
  • To encourage the sense of curiosity.
  • To enhance language and cognitive development.

Marriage Quotes

Nothing can bring a real sense of security into the home except true love.
Author: Billy Graham

I have known many happy marriages, but never a compatible one. The whole aim of marriage is to fight through and survive the instant when incompatibility becomes unquestionable.
Author: G.K. Chesterton

Marriage is an adventure, like going to war.
Author: G.K. Chesterton

Marriage is not a union, merely between two creatures - it is a union between two spirits; and the intention of that bond is to perfect the nature of both, by supplementing their deficiencies with the force of contrast, giving to each sex those excellencies in which it is naturally deficient.
Author: Frederick W. Robertson

It is not marriage that fails; it is people that fail. All that marriage does is to show them up.
Author: Harry Emerson Fosdick

Many marriages would be better if the husband and the wife clearly understood that they are on the same side.
Author: Zig Ziglar

The Puritan ethic of marriage was first to look not for a partner whom you do love passionately at this moment but rather for one whom you can love steadily as your best friend for life, then to proceed with God's help to do just that.
Author: J.I. Packer

A married person does not live in isolation. He or she has made a promise, a pledge, a vow, to another person. Until that vow is fulfilled and the promise is kept, the individual is in debt to his marriage partner. That is what he owes. "You owe it to yourself" is not a valid excuse for breaking a marriage vow but a creed of selfishness.
Author: R.C. Sproul

Husbands and wives, recognize that in marriage you have become one flesh. If you live for your private pleasure at the expense of your spouse, you are living against yourself and destroying your joy. But if you devote yourself with all your heart to the holy joy of your spouse, you will also be living for your joy and making a marriage after the image of Christ and His church.
Author: John Piper

Staying married, therefore, is not mainly about staying in love. It is about keeping covenant. "Till death do us part" or "As long as we both shall live" is a sacred covenant promise - the same kind Jesus made with His bride when He died for her.
Author: John Piper

When two people know, accept, and fulfill their varying but complementary responsibilities, oneness in marriage is promoted.
Author: Wayne Mack

Wherever you find marital failure, you will find a breakdown in real communication. Wherever you find marital success, you will find a good communication system.

Running While Pregnant

http://www.pregnancy-calendars.net/running.aspx

One of the most common pregnancy exercise questions is “Can I continue to run during my pregnancy?”. The answer is - it depends. Pregnancy is not really the time to begin running on a regular basis. Even if you are not pregnant, running will place a great amount of stress on your knees and other joints. You would possibly be better off sticking to a form of exercise which places less stress on your body, such as walking or swimming.
If you had been a runner on a regular basis prior to your pregnancy, then there is a good chance that you can continue to run during your pregnancy, as long as you take some precautions.
Are there benefits of running during pregnancy?
Running is the quickest and easiest way to give your heart and mind a rejuvenating workout. It will leave you feeling full of energy, all while giving your body a good workout. It is easy to fit in a quick 15 minute jog – without the need for any additional equipment, just a good pair of shoes and some open road.
Running in the first trimester
As with most exercise during the first trimester, ensure that you monitor your heart rate, drink lots of water before, during and after your exercise. It is vitally important that you do not dehydrate.
For running it is extremely important that the shoes you wear are a good quality running shoe – this will reduce the amount of pressure and strain which you place on your knees and other joints. The more support the shoes can offer the better, especially later on during your pregnancy.
Running in the second trimester
As your pregnancy progresses into the second trimester your center of gravity will begin to shift. You may often feel unstable at the best of times during this trimester and you may be left feeling as if you could fall over or slip at any moment. So, if you are running during your pregnancy make sure that the surface you are running on is as level as possible to minimize any chance of you falling.
If you do feel that you are falling, try and land on your side or bottom rather than placing any unnecessary trauma on your abdomen.
Running in the third trimester
If you have been as careful as you can be in the first two trimesters now is an even more important time to be extra careful.
During this trimester listen to your body. If you feel too tired or to sore to run, then don’t. Be sure not to push yourself too much as this can often be more dangerous and may cause more problems than doing no exercise at all.
As your pregnancy nears it's end, it may be a good idea to tone down the amount of running you are doing. In fact your healthcare provider may even recommend that you look at reducing your running all together to a fast paced walk instead.
