I sometimes wonder............

I sometimes wonder how it would be if you were still here
The fun times that we would be having with your grandson
Especially now when he’s walking and running
Dancing, jumping, baby-talking ……..
Wow….I sometimes wonder why is it I didn’t get the chance to see your face lit up seeing your grandson do all of these
Although life was perfect by its own for you
And you know that having seen me give birth was already a big bonus to you
I still can’t help to wonder…………
How I wish you were still here with me….with us…
I miss you so much…
I wish I still had you around to call you “papa”, to hug you, to quarrel with you, to have good times together
I will never forget all the good times together, wonderful blessings by God
I know you are at peace now, rejoicing with God up above
I also know you are my children’s guardian angel which gives me a great sense of peace and joy
I wish I could see you again……………
I love you so much - till we meet again.......

Brighton School House

Our Roots
Brighton School House was founded in 1984 by Lesley Britton, a British expat residing in Malaysia. Together with a group of her expatriate friends, they opened the first Montessori pre-school and nursery in Damansara Heights to cater for their children as well as children of residents living within the vicinity of the school. Over time, the Montessori pre-school was replicated and the Damansara Heights centre became the anchor of a group of more than 30 pre-schools in Kuala Lumpur. This renowned group of pre-schools remained leaders in the pre-school arena for many years. In 2009, the school underwent a management change and was rebranded as Brighton School House. The new school model which was adopted continues to maintain the Montessori principles while embracing the latest educational approaches, teaching methodology and best practices in early years education.

Kinderland

Toddlers’ Kinderplay Program (18 months to 2 + years)
The KinderPlay Program (18 months to 2 + years)

The KinderPlay Program is a bilingual program which adopts a thematic approach to introduce children to an integrated holistic learning style. There are twenty themes in a year. A new theme is introduced each fortnight through a variety of activities.

KinderPlay

Play is a powerful and effective medium to promote all-round development of toddlers. Our Kinderplay program enables toddlers to build attention span and to learn through interaction with peers and adults.
This “Learning Through Play” approach encourages self-expression and creativity through meaningful programs like Music, Movement & Games, KinderCize (physical), Art & Craft and a variety of language activities in English and Mandarin.

Music, Movement and Games

Musical growth is considered an important part of early childhood development and is one facet of the cognitive process. Music and Movement sessions aim to engage children in primary musical development via experiencing and participating in movement and singing activities.
Music and Games activities aim to reinforce concepts learnt during the English and Chinese Language sessions. Through simple musical games, toddlers gain a more in-depth understanding of concepts and practice essential skills in a fun and stress-free way.

KinderCize

Kindercize is designed to enhance the development of large motor skills. Toddlers’ feel ‘good’ about themselves as they increase in strength, ability to control, and manipulate their bodies. They develop a greater sense of well-being, self-confidence and self-esteem.

Language Activities

The language activity component for both English and Chinese, is a fun and effective way of enhancing toddlers’ vocabulary acquisition through songs, stories, rhymes and games.
It is also aimed at developing toddlers’ listening as well as visual discrimination skills. As language is also a social activity, toddlers learn to interact with peers and adults and develop social and communication skills.

Art and Craft

Arts is a natural form of creative expression for toddlers. Their thoughts and feelings are encouraged and respected through free-form art as well as child-appropriate craft activities. Art and Craft activities are designed to stimulate toddlers with varied materials and objectives for their sensorial development and experimentation. These activities encourage the development of fine motor coordination, visual discrimination and hand-eye coordination. They also enhance the qualities of concentration, attentiveness and perseverance.
Objectives of Kinderplay Program:
  • To develop self-confidence.
  • To foster social and emotional development.
  • To develop gross and fine motor skills.
  • To encourage the sense of curiosity.
  • To enhance language and cognitive development.
